Memorial Health System Press Kit

Memorial Health System is a leading employer and provider of comprehensive health care services in southern Colorado. Founded in 1904, the system has served as a cornerstone of our community for more than a century.

We are city owned and provide outstanding health care to all, yet receive no taxpayer support. That translates into multi-millions of dollars of benefit to the community every year. And, because we are locally owned and operated, everything we earn is reinvested into the system and Colorado Springs community.

Some quick facts about Memorial:
Employees: 4,300-plus
Volunteers: Nearly 1,000
Physicians: 800

While Memorial provides comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, treatment and recovery health care services, major service areas include:

  • Emergency and trauma
  • Mother/baby
  • Pediatrics—Memorial Hospital for Children
  • Rehabilitation
  • Oncology
  • Cardiology
  • Cancer
