Radiology & Imaging

Our radiology department at Memorial Health System is a diagnostics and treatment resource for nearly every medical service. Our team of radiology technicians are board-certified. Our picture archiving communication system (PACS) provides physician real-time access over the Internet to obtain results as soon as possible. The sooner a medical condition is diagnosed, the sooner treatment can begin.

Diagnostics technologies include:

  • x-ray
  • mammography
  • ultrasound
  • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • computerized tomography (CT)

In addition, non-invasive radiology treatment techniques, such as angioplasty, can be often be used as an alternative to surgery.

Our radiology department at Memorial Health System has some of the more advanced digital radiological technology which offers several advantages over other systems, to include:

  • 64-slice CT: produces fast, high-resolution scans and is capable of producing 64 different images per rotation. This allows radiologists to examine smaller and more detailed sections of the original scan, leading to more exact diagnoses.
  • Digital radiography: dramatically reduces the number of steps for a final scan. Radiologists are able to enlarge scans and view different angles with the simple touch of a button. In addition, There is no film that can be lost and procedures rarely need to be repeated.

Memorial’s radiology department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and received the gold seal for excellence in care.
