Tobacco-Free Policy
Memorial Health System is tobacco-free at all locations, including Memorial Hospital Central and Memorial Hospital North.
Research has proven that tobacco use is hazardous to a person’s
health and as a health care system, our goal is to model healthy
behaviors because we care about the health of our employees and the
health of our community. Memorial joins a nationwide trend that includes
almost two dozen Colorado hospitals that have gone, or are in the
process of becoming, tobacco free.
Tobacco free means that patients, visitors and employees are asked
not to use tobacco products anywhere on our campus. Memorial does not
permit any patient leaving its facilities to use tobacco products.
Patients are invited to speak with their physician or nurse about
options that are available while they are in the hospital. |
